Full time baker position starting in September

We are looking for a full-time baker to join us from Sepetember 1st! As summer comes to an end, our dear Doris is off on new baking adventures. Therefore we are looking for a kind, warm & experienced baker to join us as autumn starts and the first apples & quince arrive in the bakery. At lille you will join a team of bakers who holds a great passion for locally grown grains, old wheat varieties, baking beautiful sourdough bread and making cakes & pastries with seasonal fruits & berries - and preserved ones when the winter times hit us.

lille is a place of passionate bakers, cooks and FOH’ers who all work closely together - and we share the responsibility of making lille happen every day. We hope to find a person who also finds this structure exciting and is willing to take ownership too as we don’t have a classical hierarchy 💛

As always we are looking for passionate, nerdy & kind humans with good communication skills, loves to be a part of a cute & creative team, and is excited about working closely with our farmers & millers, seasons & food systems 🌾

Breaking it down - we are looking for a baker who is:
- ready to join us full time - 5 days a week
- has min. 1 year of professional baking experience
- has a love for working with local & seasonal produce
- is comfortable taking ownership & responsibility
- is able to work in a small team in a small space
- is looking for a long term commitment ;)
- is able to work in the EU
… an interest or love of heritage grains and regenerative agriculture is a plus 🌱

We are also looking for a kind soul to join our FOH-team full-time from September 1st. A host / hostess who is ready to meet our guests with care & kindness. Someone with attention to details who has that extra aesthetic vibe to contribute to making our space look beautiful every day; from cleaning & tidying to re-arranging our cookbooks & nick-nacks that has been saved up over the last 7 years. That person who will find a beautiful flower on their way to work and put it in a vase in our bathroom, just to make it look lovely for us all 💛 

lille can be a fast-pased & dynamic place to work and we hope to find someone who can be flexible, open-minded and able to dance in the moment; brewing coffee whilst saying good-morning to our guests and perhaps even having an eye on making sure our tables are whiped. Making drinks & making sure our deli shop is up and running is also a part of the task for the FOH section. So if you have a flair for making water kefir, ice-T’s, herb mixes for hot tea or something new and fresh, this could also be a place for you to shine.
